The Navigators have been blessed by a rich heritage from our influence over the past forty years. In tracing our roots as far back as the early 70's, we found that there have been at least 35 Nav Staff couples (and singles) who have resided and ministered in the Metro Area. Much of the early efforts of The Navigators were in the Collegiate work and gradually, over time, moved closer towards embracing a broader base in the community.

I have wanted to share the excitement and blessing of a week with our colleagues. We were involved in a major initiative with the criminal justice system here in Philadelphia known as Fugitive Safe Surrender (sponsored by the United States Marshals Service) where men and women with outstanding warrants were encouraged to turn themselves in voluntarily in the sanctuary of a church, True Gospel Tabernacle (Bishop McNear is the leader).

On Sunday the pastor asked everyone to answer the question, "Where is my mission field?" Then someone asked me if I wanted to write a ministry-related article. I don't like those kinds of questions because I'm a BOGO bargainer. For non-shoppers let me translate. It means that I like to buy one item and get the second item free, especially when it has been discounted in the clearance section while getting it on Senior Citizen discount day when I'm shopping with my mother.
